Thank You

5 Apr

Thirteen days. That’s all the time the combined forces of the fighting community had from conception to execution to create Fight for Relief. What began as a charity tournament at the University of California Irvine quickly escalated to a California spanning event with just a simple online conversation. In thirteen days Level | Up Series combined forces with iPLAYWINNER to put on an event that had never been attempted before in our community and the results speak for themselves.

Thanks to the combined efforts of NorCal, SoCal, Brokentier and online donators, the fighting game community collectively raised $32,636 to benefit aid relief in Japan. That is an absolutely incredible effort and your generosity has truly blown us away. Everyone involved from the donators, to the organizers, to our sponsors for which this event would have been impossible without, have truly shown why the fighting game community is so uniquely special.

As promised we’ll be sharing with you the receipts from the cash proceeds as we take the venue earnings and place them in our GlobalGiving fund, all of which you will find here. Again, thank you everyone. It was an absolute honor.
