About

Fight for Relief is a series of charity fighting game tournaments taking place on April 3 2011 to benefit relief efforts in Japan due to the devastating earthquake and resulting tsunami. This is our effort to send hope and aid to our friends and fellow competitors across the pacific in this desperate time of need. The event will also be broadcast online via justin.tv and feature an online donation drive.

A special collaboration between Level | Up Series and iPLAYWINNER, Fight for Relief features two charity tournaments taking place on April 3 — one in Irvine, CA and another in Union City, CA. All entry fee proceeds will go towards a joint fundraising account to benefit GlobalGiving’s Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund.

Online, the two events will be broadcast via a unified justin.tv channel where viewers can enjoy top play from some of the best fighting game players in the United States, as well as donate online to our GlobalGiving fundraiser.

The fighting game community is one that is truly global and we hope that you will join us in trying to make a difference for our brothers and sisters overseas. From all of the organizers of this event, we thank you very much for your time, passion and generosity.
